Entitled People I Know, the series is a collection of large abstract expressionist figurative paintings. It is a departure from the Cairo's previous works in charcoal, and each painting has been individually titled by her 8 year old son, Tarbon.

With names like "Slippery life and death", "Medusa" and "Orange dot radar" they are sure to spark the imagination.

Cairo will also exhibit a series of works based on Mt Ruapheu in her native New Zealand, a collection of pen and ink sketches, as well as charcoal drawings and paintings.

Cairo Walker has 20 years exhibition history with exhibitions in the New Zealand and Australia. Cairo is the recipient of many arts awards and scholarships. Having studied art in Sydney through the 1990s, Cairo returned to New Zealand for eight years, and has been back in Sydney since June 2006.

Show opens Tuesday 29th May, 6pm - 9pm and runs daily until Sunday 3rd June, 9am - 5.30pm
